Entering Farm

There are 2 ways to edit the farm field in a box record:

• Enter the farm code into the FARM field.

There is no validation on this field to ensure the farm you entered actually exists. But if an invalid code is entered the FARMNAME field is blank. Otherwise, the FARMNAME field shows the farm description, so use this to verify that you entered the correct code.

• Use the Choose Farm window.

Select the FARMNAME field. Click on the cell a second time and a ellipsis button appears. Click this and the Choose farm window appears.

This window allows the user a couple of different ways to select the farm:

• Scroll through the list and double-click on the farm.
• In the edit box, key in the farm code and press Enter.
• In the edit box, key in the first few characters of the farm description. The listbox will adjust to locate the nearest match. When it lands on the correct farm, press the checkmark button.
• If the farm shares the same starting characters as another farm, you can move the search to the next match by pressing the ellipsis button next to the edit box.
