About PDF Files
PDF files require Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 or higher to view. If you do not have Acrobat Reader, download the free application from this CD:

Win 3.*
Win 95/98/NT

or by visiting
www.adobe.com

How to View PDF Files with Acrobat Reader:
Click on the "View" button of the desired file. Depending on how your browser preferences are set up, one of several things may occur:

  • Acrobat Reader will launch and the PDF document will appear in the browser window
  • Acrobat Reader will launch and display the PDF file in a new window
  • You may be prompted to save the file to your hard drive. (This will most likely happen if you do not have Acrobat Reader. Use the above link to download the free application.)

Configuring Your Browser for Acrobat Reader:
For information on configuring your browser preferences to work with Acrobat Reader PDF files, visit these Adobe web pages:

Downloading PDF Files:
To download a PDF file to your hard drive or to a floppy disk for later viewing, follow these steps:

  • Right-click the link to the PDF file (the "View" button)
  • Choose "Save This Link As" (Internet Explorer 3.x, Netscape) or "Save Target As" (Internet Explorer 4.x, AOL) from the pop-up menu.
  • In the "Save As" dialog box, specify the name and location on your hard drive, then click "Save."
  • To view the saved PDF file, launch Acrobat Reader, choose File -> Open, then select the saved file.

E-mailing PDF Files:
To e-mail a PDF document as an attachment, consult your e-mail program documentation.

NOTE: The DocuDisk PDF file names may not be easily recognizable---for example, the Technical Manuals PDF files are often named with RLWS part numbers. For this reason, it may be more convenient to download the PDF file to your hard drive or a floppy disk (see above), specifying the desired name and location on your drive.

Printing PDF Files:
Due to variations in printers and PC operating systems, printing quality may vary. The use of a PostScript printer may result in better-quality graphics printing. Consult your printer documentation.

PowerPoint:
The PowerPoint Viewer 97 program is a Windows-based program that you can use to display presentations created in PowerPoint 97 for Windows (and earlier versions of PowerPoint for Windows) as well as PowerPoint for the Macintosh, versions 3.0 and later.
To install PowerPoint Veiwer 97 for Win 95/98/NT, CLICK HERE for PowerPoint Viewer 97

Shockwave:
The Revolution presentation plays in a browser and requires Shockwave Player. When Shockwave is installed, double click on the Rev_Demo icon. It will lauch your browser and play the interactive presentation. You do not have to be on-line to play the presentation. The first time you open the presentation you may get a dialogue box asking which application to open. Select Netscape or Internet Explorer. You may need to close tool bars in the browser in order to view the navigation arrows in the presentation. Go to View -> Show and click off all tool bars.

For Macintosh computers: Double-click on the icon "About Revolution" to launch the presentation. Shockwave is not required.

To download Shockwave Player for Netscape 3.0 or later, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or later: Shockwave Installer is included on this disk.
