To print Readme.txt, open the file and choose the Print command from the File menu. ------------------- SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ------------------- Computer: 386 PC Memory: 8 MB RAM Disk Space: 4 MB Operating System: Windows 3.1x/95/NT Other Software: Databack v4.10 ------------ INSTALLATION ------------ Installation File: SLv104.exe To install SmartLabel, run the file SLv104.exe to initiate the install Wizard. ---------------------- SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION ---------------------- DATABACK -------- The installation of DATABACK v4.15 is not required to run SmartLabel, but it is needed to send label format files to scale. From the FILE SETUP screen, click the DATABACK button or choose the DATABACK -> RUN command from the menu items. This will prompt for the DATABACK path or you may browse to its location. Enter the appropriate path for the DATABACK.EXE executable file. To change the path for DATABACK, choose the DATABACK -> CHANGE PATH menu item. After the DATABACK setup, clicking the DATABACK button or choosing the DATABACK -> RUN menu item should run the DATABACK software. ENTITY BACKGROUND ----------------- The label format entity backgrounds may be toggled to display an opaque or transparent background. The background can be toggled by choosing the ENTITY OPTIONS -> ENTITY BACKGROUND menu items. Viewing transparent provides a more realistic view of the label format. Viewing opaque gives a more accurate depiction of where the entity borders are located. Text based entities which display an area (description, extra text, store address, etc) will always have opaque backgrounds. COLOR CONFIGURATION ------------------- The colors displayed with the opaque background may be altered. By choosing the ENTITY OPTIONS -> ENTITY COLORS menu items, colors may be set for the various entities and active entity borders. At any time, the original color scheme may return by selecting RESET DEFAULTS. ------------ ON-LINE HELP ------------ All other help and directions may be obtained through ON-LINE help.
