Control 3 Weighing Station
The whole fish station can also operate as a checkweighing station. It has a UBI fixed mount scanner attached that scans a barcode printed by a grader system. From this barcode, the Contro-3 determines all the information that is needed to send to the PC. After being scanned, the box is placed on a scale and the weight is matched against the weight found on the label. If the label weight agrees with the scale’s weight within a set precision, the box is accepted into inventory. If the box fails the checkweight, a light blinks 5 times and the fish should be removed and run through the grader again.
At the PC, orders are entered based on what is in inventory. These orders are sent to a Janus handheld scanner and, as the boxes are selected to fill the order, the Janus prompts the picker and ensures that the order is filled correctly. When picking is completed, the Janus uploads data that show which boxes were shipped out. A packing slip and bill of manifest is produced and the inventory is updated. Fill in prices for the product shipped and produce an invoice for the customer.
